The Primus Foundation
The Primus Foundation supports the growth and decentralization of Primus Network, a decentralized verifiable confidential-computing infrastructure that combines authenticated Web2 data attestation with privacy-preserving computation.
Mission
The Foundation’s mandate is to steward the long-term health of the network and its ecosystem:
- Network growth: Help Primus Network mature from foundational infrastructure toward broad adoption, encompassing attestor participation, developer integrations, and real-world agent workflows.
- Decentralization: Support the transition from early, stability-focused operations (including council-led governance at launch) toward broader community participation as tooling and network maturity allow. See Network Governance Framework.
- Ecosystem alignment: Coordinate grants, developer programs, and community initiatives to drive the adoption of verification and privacy-preserving computation on Primus, in line with the protocol’s economic goals and roadmap.
Primus addresses a structural gap in the agent economy: users cannot independently verify an agent’s actions, and agents cannot safely compute on private data without leaking it. The Foundation exists to help close that gap at the ecosystem level while Primus Labs and core contributors advance the underlying protocol, cryptography, and product stack.
Ecosystem and services
The Foundation sits alongside a broader Primus ecosystem spanning builders, node operators, clients, and token holders. Key areas of support and capability include:
Ecosystem and developer support
- Developer tooling: APIs, SDKs, and documentation (including DevHub-style resources) to enable integrators to embed Primus into dApps and agent workflows, allowing them to construct zkTLS tasks, validate attestations, and consume verified outputs.
- Grants and programs: Ecosystem funding aligned with network milestones (for example, hackathons, developer incentives, and ecosystem grants for third-party applications on the roadmap). Token allocation design reserves a large Ecosystem and Community share for infrastructure incentives, R&D, partnerships, onboarding, and participation initiatives.
- Community growth: Initiatives that drive the adoption of verifiable agents: early products (such as zkCredential, programmable payments, Proof of Reserve, and confidential transaction MVPs), integrator support, and user onboarding.

What is PRIM
PRIM is the native utility and governance token of the Primus Network. It serves as a core coordination mechanism within the network, facilitating payments for verifiable computation, supporting attestation nodes, enabling governance participation, and aligning activity across operators, developers, and enterprise clients.
Participants may receive protocol-defined incentives based on their contribution to network operations and correct execution of tasks.
PRIM may be used to
- Facilitate payments for verification and computation tasks performed by network participants.
- Participate in protocol-level staking mechanisms to support node participation, task execution eligibility, and network reliability.
- Enable participation in governance processes, including protocol parameter adjustments.
- Coordinate activity among developers, infrastructure providers, and ecosystem participants.
PRIM functions solely as a utility token within the Primus Network and does not represent equity, ownership rights, or claims on revenues, profits, or assets.
